Cognitive AI Agent Example

Input:

My project is behind due to material delays. We cannot expedite materials. How do we bring the project back on track?

Output:

1) Rethinking the problem:

The goal is to bring the project back on track despite the material delays. The constraint is that expediting materials is not an option. To simplify the problem, we need to focus on the critical path of the project and identify the tasks that are causing the most significant delays.

2) Breaking down the problem:

Object: The object of the problem is to prioritize tasks and resources to bring the project back on track.

Numbers: The numbers involved in the problem are not specified.

Logic: The problem is caused by material delays, and expediting materials is not an option. Therefore, alternative solutions must be considered to bring the project back on track.

3) Improved answer:

To solve the problem, we must identify the critical path of the project and the tasks that are causing the most significant delays. Once we have identified these critical tasks, we can prioritize resources and allocate them accordingly.

One approach to this solution is the following:

Step 1: Identify the critical tasks - ONET Classification: Management Analysts, ONET Code: 13-1111.00.

The first step is to identify the tasks that are critical to the success of the project and determine the impact of any delays on these tasks. This information will help us prioritize resources and determine the most effective way to allocate them.

Step 2: Prioritize resources - ONET Classification: Management Analysts, ONET Code: 13-1111.00.

Once we have identified the critical tasks, we must prioritize the resources required to complete these tasks. This may involve reallocating resources from other areas of the project or asking team members to work extra hours to complete the critical tasks.

Step 3: Monitor progress and adjust priorities - ONET Classification: Management Analysts, ONET Code: 13-1111.00.

To ensure that the project stays on track, we must closely monitor progress and adjust our priorities as needed. This may involve reallocating resources to different tasks or adjusting the schedule to accommodate unexpected delays.

By following these steps, we can bring the project back on track and complete it successfully despite the material delays. This solution is effective because it focuses on the critical path of the project, prioritizes resources, and allows for flexibility in adjusting priorities as needed.

4) Improved answer in full:

Another great session. Question for James and anyone else - there are a number of AI applications that are already in regular use in FM (energy management, BAS review/work mgmt, security video review). The instacart example is interesting but off point.

I am looking for folks who are using these and more who have any case studies they are willing to share with other facility managers. Contact me if you can point me to some - thanks. rlambe@facilityissues.com
